Data Collection
SnapSort does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data. The app does not require an account and does not include third-party advertising or analytics in the current release.
Photo Library Access
SnapSort requests access to your photo library so it can:
- Display image thumbnails and previews.
- Create a local daily sorting queue.
- Run on-device OCR and visual analysis.
- Suggest archive categories.
- Store local organization status.
- Let you confirm deletion through the system photo deletion flow.
Original images are not uploaded to a SnapSort server by the app.
Local Processing
OCR text, visual signals, category suggestions, search text, archive status, delete status, and private category settings are processed and stored locally on your device. They are used only to provide the app's organization, search, archive, and deletion features.
Deletion
Marking an image for deletion in SnapSort does not immediately remove it from your photo library. Images are first placed in the app's delete buffer. Final deletion requires explicit confirmation and is handled by the system photo library deletion flow.
Data Control
You can reset SnapSort's local organization state from within the app. You can also change or revoke photo library permission in system settings.
Children's Privacy
SnapSort is not intended to collect data from children. Because the current release does not collect personal data, no child data is knowingly collected by SnapSort.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the app evolves. Material changes should be reflected in the app listing and in the published policy URL.
